It's called Mobification. Everyone's going crazy for it in Japan, from downloading tones and pictures to sticking on jewellery, and from tagging mobiles to totally transforming them. Think of it as an expression of your personality - all you've got to work out is, how will you mod yours?
OK, so here are a few people made earlier. Shows what you can do with a tube of glue, some paint and a bit of imagination.

Will says: “I wanted to fuse man-made and nature. I used a fine brush for the butterflies so I could make the wings look delicate as possible. The leaves on the front on the phone were sewn using a free-stitch technique. It developed as I progressed. I was very happy with the result.”
James says: “It is intended to be a parody of the glorifying of guns in rap culture. It’s a ‘bling’ gold-plated tank. Perhaps I should have added huge alloy wheels to it too! I looked for a plastic model kit where the parts were already split then glued them to the phone and sprayed it gold. ”
Richard says: “Some serious metal fans seem to spend a lot of time modifying themselves with piercings and clothes, but their phones often look quite normal. I thought I'd redress the balance a little. All of the buttons work fine, including the joystick. Although it's a little uncomfortable to use!”
