judges

Our competition has now closed. Our celebrity judges chose who's mod made it in to the mobile hall of fame and for their chance to have a design made for real.
  • Holly Willoughby

Holly’s the co-host of Dancing On Ice, ITV’s primetime show. Before fame on TV, she was a successful model, so she knows a fair bit about what it takes to make an impression.

Holly says: “Being a presenter, I have to speak a lot, so having a phone is very important. All the better if it can stand out from the crowd! For my mod, I wanted it to have a really girlie feel, it’s got to be fun. And the lips? - well, let’s just say it’s appropriate for me!”

  • Jamie Shaw

You might recognise Jamie as ‘The Boss’ on Pimp My Ride UK, but you might not know that he owns his own car-pimping company, ‘Carisma Automotives’, and that his creations have made the front cover of magazines all over the world. Fair to say he knows a thing or two about modding things up.

Jamie says: “There are two themes that run through my work: innovation and attention to detail. Having 3 screens gives you the versatility to use MMS, e-mail and mobile TV all on the same device, simultaneously or in widescreen. The finish? White on white or black and chrome only thanks.”

    Adam Vaughan

If you’re into your gear and gadgets, chances are you’ve picked up Stuff magazine once or twice. Adam Vaughn’s the editor, so his job is basically to go around the world finding cool stuff. So what’s he going to make of everyone’s pimped-up phones?

Adam says: “Modification as a phenomenon is something we've seen on the increase over the last few years. Whether it's cars, electronics or clothing, personalisation and individuality are key. As for my mod? It's all about retro cool. Imagine whipping this out in the pub!”
